Eco Info
Our goal at TIP is to help stop deforestation but we also want to be as Eco-friendly and low-impact as possible. This means minimizing waste and new materials as much as possible, as well as, using the most environmentally friendly products and methods available. Like solar energy, these environmentally friendly ways of doing business and products are usually more expensive than traditional ones. We would love to take on all initiatives that make us greener, but as a small business that is self funded (no investors) this would not allow us to stay in business and continue to help. In order to continue to have a positive impact, we have an internal Eco-friendly roadmap for initiatives that will make us greener. We will share this next step on this page and update as it is completed. We have also included some notes on our products to address their Eco-friendly level and next steps.

Product Info & Next Steps
The Infinity Pencil: TIP is made from steel which is an extremely sustainable material since it can be reused and recycled infinitely, steel and iron are the most recycled materials in the world. We are currently working with our partners to source recycled steel for use in TIP.
TIP for Kids: In order to make a pencil that was durable enough for kids but also lightweight this required use of plastics. The plastic used for TIP for Kids is ABS which is a very recyclable plastic. ABS plastic is reusable and recyclable but may not be accepted through your local recycling program so please follow instructions below to make sure it gets reused. We are currently sourcing more environmentally friendly material to use in TIP for Kids.
Packaging: Lets be clear, single use plastic is very bad and we do not like using it. Unfortunately most retail partners require this type of packaging. We are currently working on more Eco-friendly packaging that will still allow TIP to be sold in retail stores and Amazon. We are also working on a checkout option for customers purchasing from our website to select no plastic packaging which will reduce the need for packaging.
Recycling Program
RECYCLE
Our pencils are made out of materials that do not require trees to be cut down for production. Please do not throw The Infinity Pencil in the garbage. We want to make sure each and every TIP is recycled and reused. Please see below for recycling procedures for each TIP pencil.
The Infinity Pencil
The original Infinity Pencil is made of a steel barrel. Steel is infinitely recyclable without any loss in quality. We want to make sure that each TIP, whenever it is no longer needed, ends up being recycled and reused. There are several ways to make sure this happens:
1. Check with your local recycling plant and make sure they accept steel and put it into your normal recycling bin.
TIP for Kids
TIP for Kids is made of ABS plastic and we are currently working on production for a more Eco-friendly material to use for this pencil. We see it as essential that none of our pencils end up in the dump or anywhere else but recycled. ABS plastic is reusable and recyclable but may not be available through your local recycling program. To ensure your TIP for Kids is recycled please follow these instructions:
